A Celebration of Freedom, Culture & Community.
The DRUM Juneteenth Jamboree is more than an event. It is a gathering of community, of culture, of joy where our youth share what they've built and the world shows up to witness it.
Juneteenth is one of the most significant dates in the African-American story, the day freedom was finally proclaimed.
And at DRUM, we celebrate it with everything we have.
The Juneteenth Jamboree is a community gathering that brings together families, supporters, local partners, and the wider Birmingham community to experience the power of West African cultural arts, performed live by the youth of DRUM The Program.
It is joyful. It is cultural. It is powerful. And it is free for the community to experience.
WHAT IS THE JAMBOREE?
What to Expect
The Jamboree features:

Cultural displays and community exhibitions
Opportunities to connect with local organizations and partners

WHY IT MATTERS
The Jamboree is not just a performance. It is proof.
Proof that when young people are given access to art, community, and cultural identity — they rise.
Every drumbeat you hear at the Jamboree represents a youth who showed up, worked hard, and discovered something real about themselves.
When you attend the Jamboree, you are not just a spectator. You are a witness. And that witnessing matters.
